Location:

Clydebank & Erskine, Clydebank Town Centre

Description:

Clydebank has a fine set of buildings at the centre of the town - the "B" listed Town Hall designed by James Miller, the library and former baths.

The Town Hall refurbishment, which took around 18 months to complete, was funded jointly by the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and West Dunbartonshire Council and project managed by Clydebank Rebuilt.

The new design delivers many benefits and features including:

  • Much needed attractive, flexible and open space for conferences, shows, meetings,  ceremonies and events
  • Improved museum and gallery accommodation including the modern garden gallery and permanent display cabinets
  • Improved performance facilities including extended stage, motorised lighting trusses and dedicated shower and changing accommodation for performers
  • Enhanced visitor facilities including cafeteria and washrooms

West Dunbartonshire Council and Clydebank re-built are continuing to work in partnership to improve the functioning of the town centre and to complement development activity on the riverside.
