The SSE Hydro

Scotland's national arena

The £125m SSE Hydro is now complete at SECC and is set to be a major venue for the 2014 Commonwealth Games, with the gymnastics and netball competitions taking place in the arena. The Hydro seats 12,000 and will become a major venue for national and internaitonal stars.

Between 2003 and 2014 Clyde Waterfront was a strategic partnership comprising the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Glasgow City, Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire Councils. Its purpose was to promote the economic, social and environmental regeneration of 13 miles of the River Clyde from Glasgow city centre to Dumbarton.
