Making the connection
The project is one of the biggest civil engineering operations in Scotland and is part of the ongoing work to complete the 'missing link' between the end of the existing M74 and the M8 south of the Kingston Bridge.
Transport Scotland has said that completing the M74 to the M8
will provide significant benefits to Scotland and the country's
businesses by offering a quicker, safer and more efficient route to
get their goods to market.
