Broomielaw and Tradeston riverside

In conjunction with the Broomielaw-Tradeston bridge project and other public realm work along the Broomielaw, this represents a major improvement to the attractivesness of the International Financial Sevices District (IFSD) and Tradeston, supporting wider regeneration in this area of the city.

Location:

Glasgow City Centre, IFSD

Description:

This project takes in the renewal of the riverside public realm on the north bank of the Clyde between George V bridge and Kingston Bridge, and on the south bank from George V bridge to West Street.

A major part of the project is stabilisation of the quay walls on both banks of the river. The improvements to the public realm with walkways and new planting along the Broomielaw make this an attractive area, encouraging people to come down to the river from the city centre.

The project also makes provision for the later integration of Fastlink along the southern edge of the Broomielaw.
