IFSDG: How long have you worked in Redspire?

Lisa: Nearly a year now

IFSDG: How many people work at Redspire?

Lisa: Currently around 35 and it's growing rapidly

IFSDG: What is the vision for Redspire in Glasgow?

Lisa: Aiming to be the UK's number one CRM consultancy for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft business applications.

IFSDG: What's a typical day for you?

Lisa: I start my day going for a walk with my dog, I get into the office around 8:30 and have the essential coffee or two to start my day. I wouldn't say anything after that is particularly typical per se; it varies a lot day to day, which is why I enjoy it so much. Most of the time is a good mix of project work, meetings (on and offsite) and constantly learning. One of the great things about working for Redspire is we get some time allocated every week to enhance our knowledge and skills. We often get some great people in to share and teach us all new skills and we also take the time to share our knowledge with each other within the company. It's fantastic and keeps us all engaging in the new features Microsoft has to offer.

IFSDG: Why did Redspire choose to locate in the IFSD in Glasgow?

Lisa: It's a fantastic, central location within the heart of Glasgow. Also, we have Glasgow airport and the railway on the doorstep, allowing us to work with clients all over the UK.

IFSDG: Three good things about working in Glasgow?

Lisa: I love Glasgow; there is something for everyone. I must say my favourite things are the people. Everyone is so friendly and such a laugh, loads of amazing places to eat and lots of dog friendly places which is super important to me

IFSDG: What is your biggest business achievement to date?

Lisa: I don't think I have a "biggest achievement", I really enjoy taking a customer's vision and requirements and building something they are really excited about. Each one feels like a big achievement to me in its own way.

IFSDG: What is the best investment you ever made?

Lisa: That has to be my dog, my King Charles Spaniel Phoebe; she is just an incredible dog. I take her with me everywhere I can and she always makes me smile.

IFSDG: Which businessperson or company do you most admire and why?

Lisa: That is tricky. One person I was reading about recently is a Swedish entrepreneur called Elsa Bernadotte, the co-founder and COO of Karma. This is an app which links restaurants and supermarkets to sell excess produce at cut price at the end of the day, rather that disposing of it. She has made a massive contribution to the reduction of food waste working with large supermarkets, small local shops and Michelin star restaurants to tackle food waste head on. A real inspiration.

IFSDG: What did you want to be when you were a child?

Lisa: I wanted to be a scientist when I was a child. I followed that dream through a degree and gaining a doctorate in Neuroscience.

IFSDG: What do you do to relax away from the office?

Lisa: I like to walk my dog, relax with a book or go to the gym

IFSDG:  I-Phone or Android?

Lisa: I-Phone

IFSDG: Favourite band?

Lisa: Metallica

IFSDG: Favourite sport?

Lisa: Rugby

IFSDG: Favourite movie?

Lisa: I am more of a book person generally, but I love a Harry Potter marathon

IFSDG: Sunshine or snow?

Lisa: Snow
