Interactive Investor Builds Glasgow Presence

12 Apr 2012

Interactive Investor, the UK's leading community of traders and investors, is expanding its presence in Glasgow.

The London based company has confirmed plans to add a further ten people to its existing team of 40, based at West Nile St in the IFSD.

Interactive Investor's Glasgow office is focused on supporting its share dealing brands, www.iii.co.uk and www.shareprice.co.uk which provide financial information on-line and via mobile applications to tens of thousands of UK investors.  The company says the site is attracting a new generation of share buyers and estimates around 30% of trades are now carried out on mobile devices.

Confirming that the company's expansion plans had been supported by SDI, Douglas Boyce, director, Interactive Investor, said, "We picked Glasgow because it has become a centre of excellence for financial services administration.  Glasgow met our needs, particularly in quality experienced staff."

With over 8 million unique users every year, the original site was founded in 1995.  It is owned by Interactive Investor Plc, a privately owned group established to provide services that allow private individuals to take control of their financial affairs.  The group also publishes Moneywise Magazine and Money Observer and their websites.
