Top HR Award for City Of Glasgow College

Staff at City of Glasgow College have been named champions of the human resources profession at the largest, most prestigious Human Resources awards ceremony in Scotland.

The staff, who work in the college's HR and Organisational Development departments, took home the 'Organisational Development of the Year' Award from the HR Network Awards, in recognition of the many exceptional, inspiring and creative initiatives they have implemented.

As well as excelling in their day-to-day delivery of HR duties, which include recruitment, staff training and diversity and equality, the team is also responsible for the implementation of policies and development programmes.

Paul Little, Principal of City of Glasgow College, said: "As one of Scotland's super colleges, it is absolutely vital that we are a powerhouse for skills development and world-class learning for our students and our staff.

"This award is testament to the success of our many fantastic initiatives which do just that. Importantly, it also recognises the dedication of our staff who, behind the scenes, make it all happen. The needs of employers, students and staff change rapidly in the 21st Century and we will continue to look for ways to bring new thinking into our college and the education sector."
