IFSDG: How long have you worked
in NT Agile Recruitment Ltd?
Lynne: 21 Months.
IFSDG: How many people work at
NT Agile Recruitment Ltd?
Lynne: Three.
IFSDG: What is the vision for
NT Agile Recruitment Ltd in Glasgow?
Lynne: I love what I do. I started in
recruitment at 16 with Office Angels and had I not been offered
that opportunity I just don't know where I would have ended up.
My focus is moving the business forward and making it
successful. Taking more contact centre clients on board and
providing our service is exciting and can be very attractive to
other companies.
My vision is to grow the business and take on some more people
including offering apprenticeship opportunities to school leavers
or graduates.
IFSDG: What is a typical day for
you?
Lynne: Contacting suitable candidates for
clients, interviewing candidates via Zoom / MS Teams, and updating
clients on the progress of their recruitment campaigns.
IFSDG: Why did NT
Agile Recruitment Ltd choose to locate in the IFSD in
Glasgow?
Lynne: In our role as a high-quality recruiter
serving the people needs of the city's business community, we
believe we need to be at the heart of that community and the IFSD
is where that heart is located.
IFSDG: Three good things about working
in Glasgow?
Lynne: It is easy to meet both clients and
candidates.
Being in the heart of the city is inspiring.
Socialising in the city is something everyone on the team
enjoys.
IFSDG: What is your biggest business
achievement to date?
Lynne: My biggest achievements are my two
children and setting up my own business platform to work around
them.
IFSDG: What is the best investment you
ever made?
Lynne: That would have to be investing all my
time and energy in my business. I get tremendous satisfaction from
watching my team working hard and with commitment to find the right
people for our clients.
IFSDG: Which businessperson or company
do you most admire and why?
Lynne: Ally Watson - CEO / Founder of Code Like
a Girl - she set this company up as she was a backend developer and
struggled to move forward because of the industry. Now she has set
up a platform inspiring girls / woman all over to get into coding
and technology from the age of 8 up. And she is also originally
from Scotland moving to Australia in 2015. As a parent, companies
like this really inspire me, as they are developing/providing
platforms for our future generations in areas that can be quite
difficult to break into.
IFSDG: What did you want to be when you
were a child?
Lynne: I can't quite remember that far back,
but I did want to be a primary school teacher at one point.
IFSDG: What do you do to relax away
from the office?
Lynne: Spending time with my children, walking
the dog and running.
IFSDG: I-Phone or Android?
Lynne: I-Phone.
IFSDG: Favourite band?
Lynne: Aww, so many, but I do love Queen.
IFSDG: Favourite sport?
Lynne: Running.
IFSDG: Favourite movie?
Lynne: Elf.
IFSDG: Sunshine or snow?
Lynne: Sunshine.
IFSDG: …and finally, what three
words sum you up?
Lynne: Committed, hardworking and fun.
