This idea will develop a knowledge and understanding of the local
economy by applying learning through individual research and then
sharing with peers to produce an extended piece of writing which
will be presented and winning team's report will be included in
school media for local community to read.

• Subject knowledge gained and enhanced e.g. how to develop skills
employers are looking for, what do we mean by the local
economy?

confidence, positive attitude; increasing motivation to learning;

organisation, time management, researching, co-operating,

negotiating resources and managing time as a group.
• Pupils take responsibility for their learning through making
